I am drawn to photography for the process more than the result. The present mind it asks for. The awareness it brings. When those align, I meet a kind of excitement that exists only in the moment of making. It is a feeling I believe artists recognize across mediums, and the reason we return to the work again and again.

These photographs are imperfect. They document growth, experimentation, mistakes, and moments of instinct. Some are passing observations. Others are constructed through narrative. All of them represent instances where I was present enough to respond.

Whatever they come to mean for you, know that they were moments where I cultivated joy.

Joy comes from the things that take time, and these days it feels like we have less of it.
